Homesense to open in Union Square, Aberdeen

Published: 4 July 2017 - Sue Deane

Hammerson has signed Homesense to open its first store in Aberdeen and its second in Scotland at Union Square.

Part of the TK Maxx group, Homesense launched in 2008 offering branded and quality homeware at a discount to

high street and department store prices. The brand now boasts 44 stores across the UK and at Union Square it will occupy a 10,000sq ft store featuring a mezzanine level.

The store will be located on the scheme’s shopping park alongside complementary home furnishing retailers Dreams and Hobbycraft.

“Homesense is a great addition to the retail mix at Union Square, significantly strengthening its homeware offer,” said Hammerson UK commercial director Iain Mitchell. “The centre has long been considered the premier regional shopping centre and the fact that Homesense has chosen the venue to expand in Scotland is reflective of its appeal.”
