There's just a couple of days left to benefit from the early bird rate for the HTA's Catering Conference and Dinner - Catering Matters.
The extended early bird rate runs until close of play on Friday, May 29 2015. Deegates can choose from a full conference package or a single day to participate in dedicated themes on each of the days.
The panel Session on Day 1 will be around 'What next for garden centre catering?' Trevor Pfeiffer of Garden Trade News will chair a debate on the latest hot topics in garden centre catering, including what is new, whether to use concessions or not, chefs versus cooks, and waitress service versus self-service, amongst others. Joining Mr Pfeiffer will be Armitage's Home and Garden managing director Will Armitage, Ron Bent of Bents Garden and Home, Thirsk Garden Centre's Helen Joyce, and Dobbies Garden Centres head of restaurants Anthony Hester.
The panel session on Day 2 will again be chaired by Mr Pfeiffer and is a food-focused debate covering the latest hot topics in garden centre catering, including family favourites versus new trends and the convenience of 'grab and go' offerings. The panel will be made up of experienced catering managers and garden centre owners who have dared to try something different, including Fosseway Garden Centre's Tim Godwin, Barton Grange's Guy Topping, Summerseat Garden Centre's Joe Ainscow, and Paul Cooling of Coolings Green and Pleasant Ltd.
Alongside the seminars, panel discussions and workshops there will be plenty of time for networking, with the conference exhibition and dinner, providing a great opportunity to meet with catering product suppliers and industry colleagues.
