Published: 23 September 2013
The HTA Garden Futures Conference will feature Josh McBain, from Future Foundation, a consumer trends and insight organisation, as he explores how the retail environment is set to evolve in response to the rise of multichannel shopping.
The event will take place on October 17 at One Great George Street in London. Mr McBain will be highlighting the importance of multichannel retailing now and how it will become an integral part of garden retailing in the future. He will also showcase the changing landscape of purchase behaviour in the UK as a result of the rise of online and mobile shopping.
"We're delighted to have Josh speaking at Garden Futures this year," said Sam Gunston, HTA events manager. "Josh is responsible for developing trend analysis at the Future Foundation and brings a wealth of experience which will really get delegates thinking about the future of retailing in their business."
Future Foundation is a company that offers insights and information to businesses on consumer trends. Mr McBain will discuss the current retail trends and consumer expectations as well as the emerging trends that could be important in the future. He will also look at how bricks and mortar retailers are responding to the success of e-commerce and the emergence of m-commerce.
Delegates can also look forward to seeing a number of ideas that depict the future retail environment and how Future Foundation sees the retail world evolving by 2020 and beyond.
The event, which is sponsored by Bord na Mona, Hozelock and Scotts Miracle-Gro, will feature many other speakers alongside Mr McBain. There is also a Garden Futures dinner taking place on the evening of October 16 at the same venue.
