Independent retailers secure UK growth for ABUS

By focussing on supporting independent outlets in the UK via new wholesale partners HOPPE & Toolbank, ABUS are pleased to report genuine growth in sales. In a difficult market, with a proliferation of cheap Far East padlocks on offer, ABUS know when it comes to security, discerning customers are opting for higher service levels and better quality from a known brand.
Toolbank and HOPPE are constantly improving their ABUS offer by increasing service levels to their independent customers. They now offer a complete Keyed Alike (KA) and Master Key (MK) programme on ABUS, as well as key cutting for all replacement keys including the top security 'Plus' Key. They also make up the ABUS 83, 85 and Granit padlocks to existing key numbers to fit existing suites. These services are particularly important to commercial users with vehicle fleets or large premises to secure, who rely on independent specialists for this specialist service.
Independent retailers value the world leading ABUS brand being distributed alongside top tool and ironmongery brands. It means ABUS orders can always be 'carriage free', reducing costs and increasing profits. With the new ABUS packaging and the marketing machines of HOPPE and Toolbank in full swing to support them, retailers now find it easy to increase their sales of ABUS.
"Our strategy has always supported the independents, as they know what their customers want and can be flexible enough to provide an excellent service to win the business. We are thrilled that the hard work and commitment of our new wholesale partners has enabled the full ABUS package to be even more widely available to UK Hardware retailers, with the result of satisfying sales figures all round." commented Nick Vanderhoest of ABUS UK.
