James Gower confirms departure; details of new exhibition expected in October.
Interbuild director James Gower has left organisers Emap Connect to launch his own exhibition.
Mr Gower, who has worked as head of the construction group exhibition for 10 months, confirmed his departure to Events: review website.
He told the website that details of his show's title and dates will be announced next month once investor contracts have been signed.
Mr Gower is noted for his work at Interbuild, where he turned it from a 279, 861sq ft (26,000sq m) biennial exhibition to an annual one of 215,278sq ft (20,000sq m), which according to the former show director saw a 66% rise in revenues.
Interbuild now falls under the charge of David Pierpoint.
