Two new managers have been appointed to the Ironmongery Direct team. Lili Wang will be the product manager for cabinet hardware, seals and sliding doors, while David Saxby will take on product management for door furniture, bolts, stops, accessories, shelving and storage.
Both bring a wealth of experience to the roles, which will help the company work towards its goal of stocking 20,000 products in a few years time.

Ms Wang worked for six years at Dalebrook Supplies Ltd as purchasing manager and then sales manager for Asia. Mr Saxby, meanwhile, worked for 17 years at Arrow Electronics as a purchasing manager.

He said: "One of the things that attracted me to Ironmongery Direct was the continued growth of the business, achieved over a short period of time. Having a background in distribution I'm looking forward to the challenge of sourcing new products and suppliers in new markets, which offers a great deal of flexibility and creativity in the role."

Last year the online and mail order firm made sales of £18.1m, up 22% on 2011.
