Irwin lends support to DIY Week Awards
Published: 8 November 2012
Tool manufacturer Irwin has become the latest big industry name sponsor of the DIY Week Awards 2012, sticking to its roots with the sponsorship of the Tool Retailer of the Year category.
The awards, which take place next Tuesday (November 13) at the Deansgate Hilton, Manchester, recognise and reward the cream of the DIY, garden and hardware product and retail industries. Irwin is already one of the
award's Silver winners in the Hand Tool of the Year category; its fast release vise-grip pliers are up against products from Stanley and Ladderlimb in the battle for Gold.
In the Tool Retailer of the Year category, Irwin will present the coveted Gold award to either Leekes, PR Industrial or Axminster Tools, who were
shortlisted just weeks ago. Irwin's senior channel marketing manager Paul Jakeway said: "We manufacture innovative hand tools and power tool accessories for trade professionals who demand superior performance and durability, so our relationship with the businesses who put our products into our end-users' hands is of paramount importance.
"Irwin Tools is therefore delighted to be sponsoring the Tool Retailer category that recognises the hard work and dedication of our customers and partners."
