It's a Knockout for Greenfingers

Members of the horticultural industry recently helped raise more than £2,500 for Greenfingers after participating in the charity’s version of ‘It’s a Knockout’ as part of the GCA’s annual conference.
The Greenfingers Knockout Challenge was based on the BBC1 gameshow, complete with colourful inflatables, costumes, props, water and bubbles. Teams were made up of suppliers, GCA member retailers and garden centres.
Eight teams of eight people took part in the challenge to raise money for Greenfingers, which creates gardens in children's hospices across the UK.
The charity's director of marketing and fundraising Deborah Skillicorn said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and to the people who supported it. The money was raised through entry fees."
Winning team The Dragons was made up of garden centre owners and staff from the GCA Wales and West region.
The GCA chairman Peter Burks said: "We are still counting the money raised for Greenfingers from the Knockout Challenge, but we are very pleased with the amount that has been collected so far.
"It was a fantastic day and everyone enjoyed themselves. Greenfingers is such a worthy cause."
