Jeff Moody leaves BDC

Published: 1 April 2010
Jeff Moody and Ray Taylor, two of the three-strong team who led a management buyout of BDC in 2008, have left the company. The third, Steve Gallagher, has been retained as commercial director by new md Eamonn Swift.
Jeff Moody leaves BDC
Mr Swift, who has been appointed md with immediate effect, came on board at the beleaguered wholesaler when he invested £2.5m in the company in 2009. The circumstances of Mr Moody and Mr Taylor leaving are unclear.

Mr Swift has also retained the services of sales director Eddie Seymour and has welcomed Colin Drake back into the BDC buying team.

Back into admin on 20th July 2010, though had ceased trading a few days beforehand.
According to their own website though, a new MD was appointed with immediate effect on July 30th. Guess the oldest habit they had of never introducing their left hand to their right hand was a cancer they couldn't (or wouldn't) cure. Stocks grew worse and worse and as said by others - overpriced!

Sources from one of their Trade Centre is the new MD has been there since middle of last year, but stock are gettin worse than better. How can I rely on a company that has 2 out of 20 items a contractor needs???? Also, when they do have something I need, B&Q is cheaper!

Don't rely on BDC as they are not the company they were, you are better off using you local Stearn or Edmundson branch for your electrical contracting needs. They always have stock at reasonable prices!

An accident waiting to happen. How much longer will they continue with overpriced unsaleable stock mainly inherited from the old BDC.

No surprise as old habits never die. What goes around comes around.
