Jewson donates to Red Bull DIY skateboard competition

Jewson has donated a range of tools and building materials for a competition organised by energy drink Red Bull.
The Red Bull DIY 2014 project provided the means for skateboarders to create themselves a skating hotspot. Teams which registered for the competition collected a range of materials including building sand, cement, gauging trowels, plastic floats, shovels and wheelbarrows, all donated by Jewson to get work underway.
Teams from across the UK took part in the competition and spent the summer building their skating projects. The Dazed Retail team from Stoke-on-Trent were selected as eventual winners by a panel from Red Bull and were awarded the top prize of a trip to skating hotspot Sofia in Bulgaria.
"We already have a close relationship with Red Bull. A number of our branches stock the energy drink as it's popular amongst busy trade professionals," explained Jewson business development director Simon Jones.
"As such, we were delighted to extend this relationship further and donate tools and building materials for the Red Bull DIY 2014 competition."
