Jobs could be under threat at Endsleigh Garden & Leisure

Jobs could be lost at Endsleigh Garden & Leisure in Ivybridge, near Plymouth, following a proposed review of its management and staffing structure.
The garden centre was one of the seven Garden & Leisure Group businesses taken over by The Garden Centre Group in September last year and it is understood this review is part of TGCG's integration of the centre, which could result in redundancies.
The Plymouth Herald has reported that Endsleigh employs around 132 people and that TGCG has not made any decisions, although consultation meetings are being held.
A spokesperson for TGCG said: "We are proposing to review the management structure and staffing models at the garden centres acquired from Garden & Leisure Group to ensure they are efficient.
"We are very excited about the opportunities to invest and develop these centres."
In September,
TGCG bought Garden & Leisure Group from owner Louis Delhaize, adding seven centres to its portfolio. This followed TGCG's previous purchase of Cheddar and Lechlade Garden Centres earlier the same month and
Barton Grange's Bolton garden centre in June.
