John Lewis is going to open six concessions in Australian department store Myer with the first expected to open before Christmas, according to reports.
The debut outlet store will be in a newly refurbished Myer store in Warringah on the outskirts of Sydney. More concessions are planned for Melbourne, Perth, Bondi, Chadstone and the Myer flagship store in Sydney next February.
The roll-out will bring the number of John Lewis shops-in-shops to 30 worldwide.
Said John Lewis' head of international development Katie Jordan: "We're delighted to be expanding our international presence and bringing John Lewis to new countries around the world, both through physical collaborations and by expanding our online international delivery destinations.
"There is a real synergy between Myer's customer base and ours, and we believe they are the perfect partner for our first Australian shop-in-shops."
