Taking over from the ceo of Travis Perkins, Geoff Cooper, John Sinfield has been appointed as the new chairman of the Construction Products Association (CPA).
Mr Sinfield works as managing director of Northern Europe for Knauf Insualtion and in his new role as chairman of the CPA he will strive to continue representing the views of the UK's manufacturers and distributors of construction materials and products.

Commenting about his role, Mr Sinfield said: "There is a tremendous amount of very important work to be done which will have a very real impact on our businesses. However, we are well placed as the leading voice within our industry to help the wider construction and manufacturing communities to engage and work together.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff Cooper for his hardwork and dedication during his time as CPA chairman and I look forward to continuing his success."
