Kelkay and Farplants named suppliers of the year at Klondyke Awards
Kelkay and Farplants have been named winning suppliers for 2008 at the Klondyke Group annual Supplier of the Year Awards at this year's Glee.

The awards are voted for by the groups 23 garden centres and reward excellence in supply, ordering, centre support, merchandising and customer service.

Both award presentations took place on Monday 22nd September 2008 on the Kelkay stand at Glee.

Kelkay entered the market seven years ago and has been extremely proficient in its merchandising concepts, Klondyke said.

Kelkay supplies the Klondyke Group with aggregates and water features and its customer and consumer focus has helped maximise sales in this product area, the garden centre chain added.

Of Farplants, it said the 'consistently strong' plant supplier is especially strong in the supply of herbaceous promotions and impulse lines.

Klondyke Group operates 23 garden centres throughout the United Kingdom, known as Klondyke throughout Scotland and Strikes in England and Wales.

It is the UK's largest independently owned group of garden centres and has been trading for more than 100 years.
