From its factory in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, Kilrock designs, formulates, blends, fills, packs, sells and distributes a full range of high-performance cleaning products. The company also manufactures, under license, the oldest cleaning product in the USA, Bar Keepers Friend. Kilrock began life in the 1930s as Etherium Limited, focusing on industrial water treatment in hard water areas. Etherium later became Heat Efficiency, which was sold to the Davis Family in 1986. At that time Kilrock-K, "the original multipurpose descaler", had already been on shelves for 40 years. Since then, the Kilrock range has grown to over 50 products across key "household problem-solving" categories. Kilrock employs over 40 people and manufactures more than 90% of its products on site. Keeping production close to home has allowed Kilrock to ensure product quality, respond quickly to customer requests and remain agile in terms of new product development. With a factory expansion planned, significant investment in a fully automatic filling line and a growing blue-chip customer base, Kilrock says it is going from strength to strength.
