Digital retail expert Rakhi Parekh is to join Kingfisher as a non-executive director from February 1.

Ms Parekh is also a non-executive director of Rightmove, Intu Properties and digital marketing company Be Heard Group.
Kingfisher chief executive officer Véronique Laury said: "Driving our digital capability is one of the three key pillars of Kingfisher's transformation. Rakhi's extensive experience in digital and multichannel retailing will therefore be vital as we work to transform Kingfisher into a single, unified company."
Janis Kong will step down from the Kingfisher board on February 1 after nine years as a non-executive director.
