Knauf donates to DIY SOS project

Knauf Insulation recently donated loft roll insulation to the BBC programme DIY SOS, to help provide new fit for purpose premises for the Little Miracles charity.
The insulation manufacturer was approached by the programme's production team for support and it provided 210m2 of its Earthwool in 100mm and 150mm thicknesses, with help from interior building products distributor CCF, to help improve the thermal and acoustic performance of the building. The insulation rolls are manufactured with ECOSE Technology, enhancing its environmental credentials without affecting the thermal, acoustic or fire performance.
Little Miracles is a parent led support group and charity in Peterborough for families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. After out-growing its small semi-industrial space, the charity was gifted with a two and half acre site which included a 1970's prefab building, which was unsuitable for the charity.
The DIY SOS team stepped in to demolish the building and build an entirely new centre, which now includes full wheelchair access, a dedicated sensory room, space for counselling, kitchen facilities and more.
Knauf offers a range of insulating materials for construction, technical insulation in the industrial field, heating, ventilation and air conditioning applications.
