Lafarge Plasterboard UK has appointed Olivier Delattre as its new marketing and strategy director.
Mr Delattre joined the company in 1993 as group internal auditor, based in Paris. He then worked in the UK from 1998 to 2001 before returning to Lafarge in France as international business development manager for the Gypsum Division, supporting numerous business units across the globe.
In his new role, Mr Delattre will be charged with driving the business forward and ensuring the Lafarge offer adapts to the ever-changing market dynamics of the UK construction industry, with key focuses on innovation, effective customer services and product placement.
He said: "I'm very happy to be returning to the UK and eager to share the challenges that face Lafarge Plasterboard. There are real opportunities for us to take the business to the next level and I will be working with the team to build on successes and communicate the performance and value of Lafarge's great product ranges, like GTEC Aqua Board, and continue to realise their fantastic potential in the market."
