LG Harris works with independent to boost sales

Decorating products manufacturer LG Harris & Co Ltd has been working with Stamford independent retailer, Harrison & Dunn to implement some initiatives to help increase its sales of decorating products.
The manufacturer provided the retailer's staff with in-depth product training, better POS material and helped build a new website in order to help drive sales of its products through the business.
Family-run Harrison & Dunn can trace its routes back to 1924. Although it sells a range of garden, DIY and homeware products, decorating is the most successful part of the business - and the area the owners were looking to develop further.
Harris invited owner, David Dunn, and three other team members to its headquarters in Bromsgrove for a full tour, product testing and training to help them build their knowledge of Harris products. Back in store, Harris introduced a new range of POS material, including window stickers, floor stickers and display headers and footers. The store is now said to be attracting lots of attention and positive comments from customers.
While Harrison & Dunn don't sell products online, LG Harris helped the retailer build a new website and ensured it was well optimised so customers could easily find it.
David Dunn said: "We've always believed in offering our customers a great customer service. To provide that though, our staff need strong product knowledge. By understanding the benefits of the full Harris range, we can be sure we're recommending the right products for the job. The staff really enjoyed their day at Harris, they came back fully enthused which fed back to the other members of the team."
