Family-owned business Lambs has been operating for over 60 years. It was bought by the parents of the current owners, brother and sister Richard Stapling and Janet Brown, who have worked there since leaving school over 40 years ago.

However, they now want to retire, and have taken the decision to close both the hardware shop in St Peter's Street and the tableware, glass, gifts and cookware shop in St Mary's Street.

The pair said they were sad about the loss of the business, but both outlets will be shutting down at the end of March. They will be holding an 'everything must go' sale.
