Worcestershire DIY shop Broad Street DIY is launching a new DIY Clinic on February 11 with the intention of helping local people who are having problems tackling home improvement tasks around the house.

The monthly clinic is being trialled in February and March at the Bromsgrove store following the tremendous success of previous events held at the shop, such as DIY Ladies Night. It will cater for people of all experience levels who are struggling with specific problems across a wide range of home improvement or home maintenance projects. These include repairing leaking taps, replacing a door lock, fixing a toilet, sealing windows and doors, and unblocking a sink.

During a one-to-one informal appointment with a member of staff, customers will benefit from free professional advice and tips. Safety guidance and information regarding regulations will also be available, if applicable to the DIY problem.

The clinic will run from 9am until 11am on Saturday February 11 and Saturday March 11. There will be a limited number of appointments available on each date during the trial period. Appointments must be booked in advance either at the shop or by calling the shop on 01527 873555.

Broad St DIY managing director Paul Warren said, “Even the most experienced DIY-er can come across problems. We hope our clinic will offer helpful support to those who are frustrated by a job that just isn’t going right. The clinic will be held in our first floor showroom, away from the busy shop, and people can relax with a mug of tea or coffee while explaining what their particular problem is.”
