Shirley Jones is celebrating 40 years of service at Wyevale Hare Hatch Garden Centre.
The horticultural advisor is the longest-serving member of the garden centre team and was recognised for her commitment at a special presentation ceremony last Wednesday, exactly 40 years to the day that she started.
Manager Colin Rushby said: "We are extremely grateful for the dedication shown during the past 40 years by Shirley, who is our longest-serving team member.
"I would like to thank her for the years of service she has given Wyevale Hare Hatch Garden Centre and we look forward to many more years ahead. She is well-known by our customers and is an integral part of our team."
The Garden Centre Group's chief executive Nicholas Marshall presented Ms Jones, 75, with a long service medal from the Royal Horticultural Society, a framed certificate and a 40 year commemorative badge from the Garden Centre Group, as well as £100 worth of high street vouchers.
Ms Jones said: "I'm absolutely delighted with my awards and vouchers. I cannot believe I have been at the garden centre for 40 years - it has flown by.
"I have worked in different roles throughout the site and enjoy all aspects of my work. My favourite part of the job is interacting with customers and advising them on which plants will be best for their homes and gardens. I also really like how everyday is different."
