Lords of Notting Hill plans St Johns Wood opening

Fast-expanding housewares and home essentials retailer Lords of Notting Hill has revealed that its next store opening will be in London's super-expensive St Johns Wood area.
The shop, which has around 1,000sq ft of sales space plus a basement, is in the high street and will open at the end of February following a refit.
"This is the fifth most affluent postcode in the country, I am told," Lords ceo Shanker Patel told diyweek.net. In fact, last year there were several houses up for sale in the NW8 area with prices between £15m and £65m.
The new shop will be branded Lords of Notting Hill and follow the fascia's existing format and product offer, with the addition of more hardware lines.
"St Johns Wood is full of high-end clothes stores and estate agents so we are introducing everyday essentials to this area," said Mr Patel.
The latest opening will add to Lords' growing portfolio of stores in some of the capital's most expensive areas. The company's most recent acquisitions were the
La Cuisinere cookshop in Battersea and
Andrews of Hampstead, and now it has plans to expand beyond London as well.
"With W11, W2, NW3, SW11 and NW8 we intend to cover most of the renowned areas of London and then outwards," said Mr Patel.
