Malobel failure interrupts Asher launch

Published: 21 May 2007
Supply of the new Jane Asher non-stick bakeware and cookware has been interrupted following supplier Malobel’s collapse into voluntary liquidation.
The Malobel products were launched at this year's Spring Fair Birmingham as part of the Jane Asher Home Collection, which also includes products by Wade, More Than Group and Home Creations.

Richard Pink, director of the Jane Asher licensing agent, Pink Key Consulting, said: "We've still got every intention of launching the Malobel product, which still makes sense from a range point of view.

"I'm pretty confident we're going to find a way around it. I don't see the products going to market much later than they would with or without Malobel."

Malobel was set up in October 2004 and is owned by directors Tony Kent and Peter Stephens. Liquidator is Haines Watts.
