Mano Mano launches web series to find the ultimate DIY project

Online DIY and gardening marketplace Mano Mano - a finalist at this year's DIY Week Awards - has commissioned a new European-wide web series dedicated to championing extreme and inventive DIY projects, with the search launching today, on International DIY Day.
The series is on the look-out for five makers, inventors and creators across Europe to be filmed on the project of their lives. One winner will be chosen from the UK to feature on the programme, which Mano Mano says “is set to give DIY SOS a run for its money”.
The web series is the brainwave of Mano Mano founders, Philippe de Chanville and Christian Raisson whose aim is to empower Europe with the tools and the know-how to create inspiring DIY projects.
They said: “We’re championing the weird, the wacky and the most inventive project ideas that the UK has to offer with the launch of The Amazing Making Of series. International DIY Day is the perfect day to launch the quest and we’re proud to have commissioned the show to support and encourage creativity across Europe. We’re eagerly awaiting entries to see just how inventive the UK can be!”
The team from The Amazing Making Of is calling on all DIY enthusiasts who have a project on the go - whether it’s a house on wheels, a flying bike or a real-life Iron Man suit. The winner will receive £5,000 to spend on ManoMano.co.uk to help with their project and they will be featured on the web series, which will begin filming this summer, and the first episodes will be aired on YouTube from September 2018 to millions of people across Europe.
The winning project will be chosen by an independent panel featuring British YouTube blacksmith, Alex Steele and Insight DIY’s Steve Collinge.
More information can be found at www.theamazingmakingof.co.uk and the UK winner will be announced the week beginning July 2.
