Marshalls brushes and rollers to be re-introduced to UK market
Published: 12 August 2008
German manufacturer and distributor of decorating sundries mako GmbH has signed a deal to re-introduce the Marshall's range of brushes and rollers to the UK market.
The company, which set up a UK and Ireland division in 2005, took the decision in January this year to set up a manufacturing and distribution operation in the UK. The company also joined forces with former J A Marshall Brushes md Simon Marshall and agreed to relaunch the company's brands including Noble 101, Noble 400X and Goldfleck.
J A Marshall Brushes entered administration and ceased trading in December 2005.
Speaking exclusively to DIY Week Mr Marshall explained how the move had come about. "After the company went into administration I had a lot of customers calling me wanting product. So I decided to start from scratch and I set up a company called T4-Trade ltd. I was building that company when I was headhunted by mako and we decided to combine their purchasing power and resources with my manufacturing technology and experience in the market."
The company commenced trading as mako UK and Ireland Ltd from their Manchester premises on June 1.
