Sales have "gone through the roof" since Derbyshire DIY and garden store Masseys moved into larger, purpose-built premises last month.

Director Andrew Massey told diyweek.net that the company's decision to close its Woodville store and Swadlincote cookshop and combine the two businesses in the new building had proved an "extremely wise move".

The 28,000sq ft store, just down the road from the original Woodville outlet, has tripled the size of the operation, and opened for business on March 6.
