Mica takes sell-out conference to Wales
Published: 20 February 2014
Mica is to take its annual conference weekend, Mica Exchange, to Wales for the first time over the weekend of March 22-23.
The event is already a sell-out, with members booked in from across the UK and suppliers lining up to return after positive feedback following the 2013 event.
Said Mica ceo Steve Ball: "Following on from the great success of last year's event in Edinburgh, the first national Mica event held north of the border; it was mooted by members that we had never visited Wales for a national event, and this year it seemed time to put that right."
The weekend will take place at the St David's Hotel in Cardiff Bay, with big industry names back for another year including this year's main event sponsor, LG Harris, plus AkzoNobel, Crown Paints, Draper Tools, Murpak, Ronseal, Sterling and Stax Trade Centres. New suppliers for 2014 include Paroh & Whatmore UK.
"I think selling out the supplier slots within six weeks demonstrates the value for money Mica suppliers get from these events," Mr Ball went on. "We will again be using the slow speed dating format which we introduced to the industry in 2011 as both members and suppliers have found it builds great business relationships."
The conference weekend will include the Mica AGM and a free member training session, and concludes with the Mica gala dinner and awards.
