Miracle-Gro grass moustaches will involve kids in Movember
Published: 14 October 2014
Scotts Miracle-Gro has launched a new initiative to get children involved in the annual Movember event that raises awareness of men's health.
Launched in 2003, Movember encourages men to grow a moustache during November and ask for sponsorship for doing so. Since then, more than 4m men worldwide have got involved.
Now, for the first time, primary school children can join in the growing fun with Miracle-Gro. The company has launched Gro-Vember, allowing children to grow their own grass moustaches using funny face templates. The templates are part of a complete Gro-Vember educational kit being made available to teachers and parents.
Miracle-Gro is also giving away hundreds of jugs of Miracle-Gro Patch Magic, a lawn patching and repair product that makes growing grass quick and easy and which is seen as perfect for helping the children grow their 'moustaches'.
Full information and the Gro-Vember kit can be downloaded at

Gro-Vember forms part of Miracle-Gro's wider educational relationship with schools around the country, which culminates in the Miracle-Gro'wers Learning Journey, where schoolchildren grow plants for Miracle-Gro's gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
