American firm Mocap LLC, of Park Hills, Missouri, through its subsidiary of Mocap Ltd., has successfully completed the acquisition of Sheffield-based William Beckett Plastic Packaging.
William Beckett is a manufacturer of specialised protective plastic packaging & containers for applications including cutting tools, DIY, technical and consumer/retail. This step by Mocap, a manufacturer of quality plastic and rubber products, allows for expansion in its current packaging division, known as Cleartec Packaging, which manufactures a full line of transparent semi-rigid plastic packaging tubes and containers.

Mocap co-owner and vice president of sales & marketing Greg Miller stated: "With the acquisition of William Beckett Plastics Ltd., Mocap is able to offer the most extensive line of plastic packaging containers to our current customer base as well as introducing Mocap's line of protective closures and clear tube packaging to William Beckett Plastics Ltd. customers. This alliance enables Mocap to broaden our scope and provide our customers with a product line that is unrivaled in this industry."

MOCAP's current customer base will now have access to the complete line of William Beckett Plastic Packaging Ltd's solutions, including round, square and rectangular telescopic containers, as well as boxes, inserts, multi-packs and cases.

Production from the Sheffield facility will remain in place, with additional investments already planned in the expansion of the product line through modernised tooling and equipment to facilitate continued sales growth. The William Beckett Plastic Packaging Ltd products will be manufactured, marketed and sold throughout the world at Mocap's existing North American, European and Asian offices.
