Graham Jones MP for Haslingden and Hyndburn Lancashire, visited What More UK Limited to meet staff and undertake a tour of the factory.
Mr Jones was said to be eager to see how a company in his constituency has become one of the UK's largest manufacturer of plastic household products.
The firm, which currently exports to 41 countries, including China, was recently awarded the 'Outstanding Exporter Achievement' award at a ceremony organised by the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
"Mr. Jones was interested to see our high quality products, from the initial design process, through to the finished goods coming off the production line at our high tech factory facilities", said What More UK director Tony Grimshaw.
"We only started exporting our goods in 2008, and our expansion overseas has been phenomenal. We now sell to China, India and Pakistan, which is great considering those countries are normally associated with producing plastic goods themselves."
After the tour of the factory in Altham, MP Mr Jones said: "It's great to see a world class company from our local area, competing on the world stage in business. What More UK stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the biggest competitors in this market. It's clear to see they are committed to their workforce and the employment opportunities they have created is fantastic."
He added: "I'm proud that this successful company in my constituency is bucking the trend and showing British manufactured goods are the best there is, not to mention the jobs created for the local area."
