National Plant Show success

The organisers of the recent HTA National Plant Show have said they are pleased with the success of the show as they gear up for next year.
Post-show research has revealed that 94% of visitors felt that the show was good, while 83% felt the timing, in late June, to be right.
The main reasons for visiting the show were found to be finding possible new suppliers (73%), catching up with existing suppliers (70%) and to get ideas for new plants to stock (68%).
Meanwhile, 86% of visitors said they would recommend the show, which takes place next year on June 28-29.
According to a statement from the HTA, 70% of buyers who visited this year's show have discussed potential orders with new suppliers, and at least 30% have so far ordered.
More than 80 stands and 60 businesses have already rebooked for next year's event. An early bird booking rate is available until the end of October, which will save £100 on rates.
An HTA spokesperson said: "New exhibitors will reflect an increased interest from bedding growers and bulb producers, following the strong interest in these sectors shown by visiting buyers this year."
