B&Q is launching nine new 'You Can Do It Centres' this weekend, following the success of the first six.
Special classrooms have been built at each of the nine stores to offer more than 20 different classes to consumers who want to improve their DIY Skills.
The initiative, which kicked off last year, forms part of B&Q's new 'Let's do it together' commitment. The first six centres have seen more than 6,500 classes booked since they launched, with participants choosing from courses including painting and decorating, plumbing, tiling and eco improvements.
Seasonal classes such as building a deck, constructing a raised bed or planter and fitting a garden tap and water butt are also available.
Sessions last between two and four hours and are led by specially-trained B&Q experts. And, to kick the new centres off in style, B&Q celebrity ambassadors George Clarke and Kirstie Allsop will be taking part.
George will be taking a class at the Durham Store this Saturday, with Kirstie travelling to the Sutton store on May 31st to take part in a session there.
The nine new centres are in the Dundee, Cribbs Causeway, Durham, Erdington, Grimsby, Swansea, Sutton, Holywood (NI) and Liffey Valley (ROI).
