Negotiation partner joins the HTA's Cost Reduction Programme
Published: 16 October 2013
Negotiating specialist ReSharpen has entered into a new partnership with the HTA to help cut operational costs for HTA members.
ReSharpen focuses on negotiation, cost-cutting and giving businesses greater control and will work on the HTA's Cost Reduction Programme (CRoP) to help all included HTA businesses.
ReSharpen's services are relevant to suppliers and retailers and can be applied across all areas of horticulture. Recent successes include a £300k annual cost reduction for a leading UK garden centre group, along with significant successes in smaller businesses as well. The company will also work with suppliers to improve their negotiation outcomes.
ReSharpen executive chairman John Eustace, said: "We welcome the opportunity to work with growers, suppliers and retailers as partners in CRoP. We look forward to using our expertise in negotiation and supply chain to support HTA members as they face the challenges of managing difficult seasonal conditions against a backdrop of structural change in the industry."
Supply chain expert Joanna Dyson will be taking part in The Big Debate at the HTA Garden Futures Conference on Thursday (October 17). The debate will focus on growing markets through the supply chains.
Steve Jones, ReSharpen's executive director, will also be speaking at HTA Seasonal Plants Focus 2013, on November 21, about poor deals and how to turn negotiation from a black art into a straightforward science.
