Dubbed 'Super Sunday', organisers have revealed a whole host of new activities and events to drive up visitor numbers on the first day of the 40th annual Glee.
A new Sunday only clearance event will see a dedicated area in the outdoor space next to the exhibition halls transformed into a place where exhibitors can sell end-of-range products at reduced prices to make way for 2015/16 stock, meaning retailers can pick up last minute bargains.
The evening of 'Super Sunday' will play host to the Glee Garden Party - a place where delegates and exhibitors can network in an informal setting and enjoy a drink with a bite to eat.
This year from September 14 to 16, the show will take place in Birmingham NEC's halls 17-20, a move which organisers hopes will bring a fresh new look to the industry event.
I2i's Glee event manager, Matthew Mein, said: "In a year that sees us move to a fresh location, we wanted to create content that would also feel fresh and exciting. Sunday is an incredibly important say at Glee and our research has shown that the industry feels the same.
"It was with this mind that we decided to build activities that offer a sense of exclusivity, whilst also kick starting the show in the best possible way. We're excited about what these plans can bring to the show, and hope that the industry will engage with them in the same way."
Last month, organisers announced they had appointed former Garden Industry Manufacturers Association director
Neil Gow to help drive the new initiatives.
This is the second year that Glee has opened on a Sunday - a return to its traditional first day.
Delegate reception to the notion was divided last year.
