Mr Bodson said of the appointment: "I am delighted to be working with Lucy again as I know she will bring considered insight and actionable plans to support the strategic pillars of our digital transformation.
"She is already making a real difference to the business with her ability to work with broader partners and make things happen fast such as setting up the Digital Hub from scratch in record time. She is a great addition to an already strong team."
Ms Butler added: "I am privileged to be a part of Argos's transformation journey. It is such an exciting time for the business, and I have encountered so much forward thinking and appetite for change in the short time that I have been here already."
