The industry has welcomed the introduction of the Green Heart, which is a new exhibition at Glee and will see growers and nurseries showing their latest ranges.
The Green Heart of Glee will be housed in the Atrium area of the NEC in Birmingham and for three days will be home to over 40 UK growers and nurseries displaying their new plants, trees and shrubs.
Glee's special project manager, Neil Gow, said the response they had seen to the new addition had exceeded their expectations.
Newleaf Plants is one grower already signed up to the show.
Sales manager, David Higginson, said: "When Neil first talked to me about the idea of Green Heart it seemed a bit of a no-brainer to be able to get out plants in front of so many key buyers and at minimal cost, so we booked our plot straight away."
Sales director at Gardeners Kitchen, Helen Boers, added: "The Green Heart concept seems just brilliant to us and being able to show off our production in good light conditions to so many key retailers means we did not need to do too much thinking before we booked up."
Glee event manager, Matthew Mein, said: "I am so pleased that the prospect of the Green Heart of Glee has already captured the attention of the industry."
Other names confirmed for Green Heart of Glee include Morley Nurseries, Whartons Roses and Darby Nurseries.
Glee will take place September 14 to 16 in halls 17-20 at the NEC in Birmingham.
