It means the garden centre's shop area is 25% with new flooring, more tills and a new customer information desk. The cafe bar is also 30% bigger with a new food hall area, more seating and a new menu.

Low energy LED lighting has been installed throughout, and this will roll out to all other Squire's garden centres later in the year. The plant area has a new and improved layout, making it easier to browse the range of shrubs, trees, cottage garden plants, climbers and patio favourites.

Squire's deputy director Sarah Squire said: "We are absolutely thrilled with all the changes at our Long Ditton centre. It is so much bigger now which means that we are able to offer our customers much more choice, in a very stylish shopping environment. So do come and have a look!"
