New management appointments at Toolbank

Published: 23 January 2008
Toolbank has appointed Phil Corby as its new logistics director.
Mr Corby, who has worked for Toolbank for over 20 years, has been heavily involved in restructuring the group's warehousing procedures and distribution efficiencies over the last three years.

Andrew Strong, Toolbank chief executive, said: "Whilst retaining his responsibility for the IT department, Phil will now be charged with continuing the development of our operational systems and technology to keep pace with the changes in distribution, logistics, supply chain, storage and product handling techniques."

In another management change, David Crawford has been promoted to region sales manager of Toolbank's Glasgow branch.

Mr Crawford has been a successful representative for the branch for seven years and has built up strong relationships with his customers during that time.

"The new role will provide the branch sales team with extra focus and support. David will be able to continue to develop sales in line with our customers needs," said regional director, Peter Cairns.
