The Building Safety Group Ltd (BSG) has appointed Paul Kimpton as managing director.
After graduating with a BSc in Quantity Surveying at Liverpool University, Mr Kimpton initially worked in professional practice operating in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. On his return to the UK, he joined a Wiltshire building company as a quantity surveyor and was subsequently promoted to construction director, operating on the board before joining another construction company as managing director.

He has also served on the BSG board of directors for the past four years, and replaces Andrew Owst who is retiring at the end of this year.

Company chairman Michael Setter said: "In difficult economic times the need to maintain the highest standards of health and safety is of utmost importance - lives can be saved. We are determined to enhance the range of our services. Paul will play a vital role and I look forward to working with him."
