Sealants and adhesive manufacturer Polyseam has appointed Neil Heffernan as product certification manager to drive its product testing and certification programme.
Mr Heffernan will work with the company's manufacturing team in Huddersfield, as well as spending some of his time at the company's purpose built fire test facility in Norway.

Speaking about his new role, Mr Heffernan said: "Joining Polyseam gives me a real opportunity to apply my knowledge of testing and certification in a wider commercial market.

"I'm delighted to be able to help Polyseam take the initiative and position itself as a dynamic organisation."

Dave Oram, from Polyseam, said: "Neil brings with him extensive knowledge and understanding of the certification and testing procedures."

One of Mr Heffernan's first jobs will be to obtain full CE certification for the Graft range of products.

Prior to joining Polyseam, Mr Heffernan spent eight years as a senior technical officer at BM Trada.
