New sales and marketing director for Varta

Global consumer products company Spectrum Brands, has appointed Paul Clarke to the position of sales and marketing director for the UK batteries and hardware division, which includes VARTA Consumer Batteries and Stanley Padlocks.
Mr Clarke, who joined Spectrum Brands in 2014, brings an abundance of knowledge and experience from within the consumer electronics sector. Prior to joining Spectrum Brands, Mr Clarke held sales management roles with Sharp Consumer Electronics and LG Electronics.
Since joining Spectrum Brands in July 2014, Mr Clarke has held the role of sales controller for the appliances division, leading the sales team for the business' high profile SDA and personal care brands; George Foreman, Russell Hobbs and Remington.

Clarke replaces Anthony Sewart, who will now lead the European sales team for Spectrum Brands' newly acquired Global Autocare Division.
