Town & Country has bolstered its sales division with two new appointments.
As UK sales manager, Mark Butler will be responsible for building business within key accounts, supporting the sales force and developing new markets. He has worked in the industry for more than 25 years, having held key account manager roles with leading garden sector names including Solus and Sinclair.
Also bringing a wealth of expertise to the company is Terry Murphy, who joins as national accounts manager. With a total of 30 years' experience within the UK and international garden centre sectors, he will be responsible for the company's UK garden centre groups as well as the buying group accounts. He joins following a six-year stint in a similar role at Solus, having previously worked with Ronseal.
Town & Country chief executive Barry Page commented: "The expertise that Mark and Terry bring to the business will be vital in helping drive the brand forward. Trading conditions in the industry continue to be challenging, but the last 12 months have been excellent for us.
"The implementation of our Growth Development Programme has produced some extraordinary results, with some of our customers showing increases in excess of 250% compared to the previous year."
