Notcutts has confirmed that from today it now owns Garden Pride Garden Centre in West Sussex.
This comes after the company announced earlier this week
that it was in the process of reaching an agreement with Garden Pride. Notcutts now has 19 garden centres.
Interim ceo at Notcutts Andrew Staff, said: "We are delighted to welcome both the colleagues at Garden Pride and its customers into the Notcutts family. Garden Pride has all of the qualities that are important to us as a family owned company and we are looking forward to extending those services and continuing the outstanding level of customer service and horticultural expertise that the centre is famous for."
Garden Pride is an independent garden centre located on a 26 acre site in the South Downs National Park in the village of Ditchling, West Sussex; it is a thriving business with a turnover of over £5m and has a strong horticultural offering and a restaurant.
The centre has been run by Trevor Wenham for over 20 years and he is now planning to retire but will be staying on in a consultancy role along with Kathleen McDonald.
