Notcutts staff a cut above

Staff at Notcutts’ Norwich branch have been named “Brains of Norwich”.
The garden centre was awarded joint first position in a competition, organised by Radio Norwich, after scoring 24 out of 25 for questions on general knowledge.
Each week day lunchtime a small team of staff from the garden centre went on air to answer five general knowledge questions. Joint winners, Notcutts and a Norwich-based financial company, beat 25 other businesses to bag the title.
The team won a bottle of champagne and a certificate, which is currently on display in-store.
Garden centre manager, James Debbage believes the key to the centre's success is the wide cross-section of staff of all ages with varying interests.
He said: "I am personally very proud that our team has proved that people employed in horticulture are very intelligent. To get just one question wrong all week is a fine achievement by anyone's standards."
