Notting Hill independent completes major store revamp

Lords of Notting Hill has completed a major refurbishment of its Westbourne Grove store in London W2.
The store, originally called Lords Homecare, has been transformed into Lords of Notting Hill with a complete overhaul of the store fittings, flooring, lighting and ambience. The new decor now incorporates refreshing cool greys and a light wood interior, designed to enhance the shopping experience.
Lord of Notting Hill ceo Shanker Patel commented: "When we launched our Holland Park store we knew that we had created a store format and product range that could be rolled out in other areas and we are delighted with the result of our makeover in W2."
The store in W2 has been serving the local residents for over 20 years and was in need of a complete refurbishment, said the firm. Customer feedback has already been extremely positive from both existing and new customers who are delighted to have the new store on their local high street. This sentiment is reflected in the sales figures, with the store's turnover up 50% in the first seven days compared with trading before the revamp.
Mr Patel added: "Our strategy of providing customers with a shopping experience that is focused on product, customer service and environment has worked very well with existing customers buying products they would have normally bought from elsewhere and a large number of new customers coming into our store who normally would never had thought of shopping with us."
The independent retailer also offers a click and collect service online at www.lordsofnottinghill.co.uk
Lords plans to refurbish its newly-acquired Battersea store before Christmas and is looking to expand further, with more acquisitions in the pipeline for 2014/15.
