Hot on the heels of its list of
the UK's 'top 20 DIY stores', the Telegraph has once again stuck its neck out and named the 'top 25 garden centres for food'.
The first article, published a few weeks ago and reported on by diyweek.net, generated several dismissive comments from our readers, unhappy with the choice of businesses. Now, the Telegraph has named 25 garden centres and nurseries that "combine the pleasures of plants and delicious dining", which have been tried either by author Jean Vernon or her friends.
However, this list does not purport to be as definitive as the DIY top 20; readers are invited to nominate any garden centre café or restaurant omissions.
The Telegraph's top 25 restaurant choices are:
· The Olive Tree Restaurant, Busy Bee Garden Centre, Ryde, Isle of Wight
· Ventnor Botanic Garden, Ventnor, Isle of Wight
