OJ Trade expands sourcing opportunities

Fasteners and fixings supplier Owlett-Jaton has extended access to its popular online trading portal 'OJ Trade' to allow more customers to source fasteners, fixings, hardware and ironmongery.
"OJ Trade has proved to be a big hit with our customers as an invaluable tool for placing orders and accessing product information," said Owlett-Jaton online trading manager Martin Rundle. "Based on positive customer feedback, we have recently extended access to the site.
"The 'visitor access' function enables their existing and potential customers the ability to view a comprehensive range of over 30,000 products - our biggest offering yet. Visitors then simply contact their local supplier with the specific details from OJ Trade, including descriptions, product codes, and email-able images, for further information and order details.
"The order function of OJ Trade remains exclusive to Owlett-Jaton customers; it enables only them to check stock prices and stock availability and place orders - all in 'real time'. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for added convenience."
Users can also store and review enquiries for future reference, access an order, invoice and credit details and make use of a 'purchase manager' facility to store details of regularly purchased products. OJ Trade can also be adopted as an 'off the shelf' website solution for customers of Owlett-Jaton without websites of their own.
Mr Rundle added: "We have recently witnessed an increase in customers recognising and capitalising on the advantages of 'virtual stock' - a concept whereby customers effectively use our stock as theirs. By checking that we have the stock as they receive an enquiry, they can instantly assure their customer that the stock is available. This is ideal for those that either don't have a huge stock-holding, or want to reduce it.
"We hope that customers and visitors alike come to rely on OJ Trade as their first port of call when sourcing product or working on a quote. We invite our customers to register and utilise OJ Trade, and experience for themselves the benefits that it has to offer, and encourage visitors to recommend OJ Trade to their supplier."
