DIY & Garden Show & Totally Tools organiser, Brintex, was bullish today despite announcing a lower attendance to this year’s event compared with 2007.
Figures showed that 2,479 visitors braved the elements earlier this week to attend the three day show.
However, Brintex says that a record number of key buyers made it to Earls Court 2.
James Murray, exhibition director, said: "We are not disappointed. We have pulled in a high quality audience and business has been done and will continue to be done following the show.
"Exhibitions continue to be a time efficient way to generate leads - our visitors this year included buyers from across the industry, including hardware independents, major multiples and some major grocery store buyers.
"We have a great looking show and Brintex has bought into this sector for the long term."
