It was 'standing room only' at Charles Harrison's funeral on Thursday July 28.
Family, friends and colleagues packed into St John the Evangelist church at Wallingford to say goodbye to the founder of CAT Enterprises, who died aged 55 after a heart attack on July 19.
Housewares industry mourners included former BHETA housewares director Pam Plant, who delivered a warm and entertaining eulogy, recalling Mr Harrison's quirky approach to trade exhibitions among other things. Other eulogies were delivered by his elder brother Richard, and by his long-time friend and golfing partner Rob Edwards, who described him as a man "who never bothered with a new joke when an old one would do", and who followed every tee shot with the words: "We'll find that".
Other housewares industry people present included Peter Bushell, Matthew Canwell, Gary Gordon, Simon Green, Will Jones, Laurie Marrington, David Parkes, Colin Petty, Neville Singer, Paul Threse, Andy Vaughan, and Patrick Winter.
